Ron Brown has been in the automotive trade since high school, first as a technician, then as an Instructor at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology at Edmonton, Alberta.   

He spent 11 years with Imperial Esso in Canada as a Technical Field Assistant and Automotive Trainer with the company operated service centers and car clinics all across Canada. 

Since 1977 Ron has owned and operated his own company now known as Auto-Know Inc. and has conducted automotive technical training classes all across Canada to update technicians with all the latest technologies and service techniques. 

In the mid 90’s Ron, as a side line, began distributing various specialized automotive diagnostic tools and training materials, and is a Canadian representative for many well known diagnostic tool and test equipment suppliers.  This has enabled Ron to be in a position to provide specific Auto-Knowledge(TM)   workshops on both equipment and diagnostic procedures.

Picture of Tom RobertsTom Roberts has over a quarter century of varied professional automotive experience.  He completed his apprenticeship in 1980 and served many years as a diagnostic specialist.  Tom started his career in a gas station and earned his Journeyman certification at a Ford dealership.  Since then, his experience has included owning and operating his own shop and working for various independent repair facilities.  He has also been part-time instructor at South Puget Sound Community College, where he has chaired the Auto Advisory Committee.  Tom makes appearances around the USA at trade shows, conventions and conferences.  He has also taught classes for ASA and other groups, presenting the highly acclaimed 'Nerd Series' from coast to coast.  He is a supporting member of the International Automotive Technician's Network, where his contributions date back to the beginning of the forums, and is a member of ASA.  He also holds ASE CMAT L-1 certification.

Dave Hurtubise has been in the automotive field for 26 years.  Specializing as a diagnostic Technician for over 14 years, he also has experience in Diesel , Propane and N.G. Dave holds licenses in Aircare® (all fuels) Propane and Natural Gas, C.V.I.P,  Instructor Diploma Certificate and several certifications for the automotive field. He has  been teaching leading edge technology on all makes and models for the past 11 years, teaching for Canadian Institute of Technology and Head Instructor  for Canadian Western Snap-On Technical Training Systems, and President of Hi-Tek Training.

With his  thirst for Knowledge and knack for sharing his diagnostic abilities, Dave has taught fuel Injection courses and computer electronics from Vancouver Island to P.E.I. and has written articles for Diagnostic news letters and SSGM.  

Dave teaches real life applications and proven diagnostic techniques. Most of these are not found in text books, but are proven on the vehicles we all work on.
